Eight N.C. Ski Area Association Gold Cards Still Available
Need that last-minute gift for a winter sport enthusiast? Only eight North Carolina Ski Areas Association (NCSAA) Gold Cards remain for sale for this winter season. This pass allows skiers and snowboarders to ski/snowboard at any resort in North Carolina during any session regardless of holiday or weekend rates; there are no blackout days.

Beech Mountain Resort, Wolf Ridge Ski Resort, Sugar Mountain Resort, Sapphire Valley Ski Area, Cataloochee Ski Area and Appalachian Ski Mountain are participating resorts.

Avery Chamber Expands Marketing and Seeks New Members
The Avery County Chamber of Commerce has recently expanded its marketing to include in-state and neighboring-state airport terminals. The Avery Chamber is also offering a “Welcome Back Discount.” As an active member of Avery Chamber, members receive free advertisement in a printed annual directory, display of business cards in the office/visitor center, a listing of the business with a description on the chamber website and much more. Watauga Willing Workers Group Now Online
The Watauga Willing Workers Yahoo Group! is now online. The group is open to those who want to post a need for service or work that might include jobs that are too small for contractors.
