Visitation with exhibitors will begin at 1:00 p.m., and educational sessions will follow from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. One half-hour of pesticide credit including the subcategories X, G, L, N, and O will be available to participants. A public dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Watauga High School will take place Friday, July 30, at 10:00 a.m. The public is invited to attend this free event to celebrate the completion of the new building. The Watauga County Project on Aging and Watauga Medical Center will offer free health screening clinics to Watauga County residents 60 and older Thursday, September 9, at the Senior Center in Boone. People age 60 to 64 with no insurance will be given priority. Eligible people may only participate in one free screening in a 12-month period from July to June. Appointments are required.
