The New River Earth Institute and New River State Park have teamed up to present an earth-saving-info-packed Summer Film Series. All the movies offer ideas about how to lessen impacts on the environment and how to make the world a better place for this and future generations.
The film series is called Visions: Environmental Impact and You, and each film entertains while showing how each of us affects the planet. Movies screenings are on Saturdays. The series began on July 5 and continues through August 9.
Films are shown in the state-of-the-art auditorium of the new visitor center at the 221 Access of New River State Park. All programs are free, begin at 6:30 p.m. and are followed by action-taking tips and discussions. For more information or directions, call the park at 336-982-2587.
