Angel Food Available at Three Watauga Churches—Orders Due August 8

Three Watauga County churches are now host sites for Angel Food Ministries, “a food ministry with a servant’s heart.” Participants may purchase a box of food valued at $60 to $70 for the low price of $30. Additional specials are available each month for the low price of $15 to $20 dollars. The boxes feature frozen meats, fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, and staple items.

Angel Food has
• No membership
• No qualifying income limits
• No applications
• No limit to the number of boxes you may order

You can pay for Angel Food orders with cash, check, money order, or EBT food stamps.

Orders for August are due by Friday, August 8. Pickup is Saturday, August 23, at each church.

For just $30, you can purchase a box of food valued at $60 to $70. Here’s what’s in the August box:

1.5 pounds rib eye steaks (four 6-ounce steaks)
5 pounds chicken leg quarters
28 ounces chicken breast nuggets
18 ounces Salisbury stead dinner entrée
32 ounces breaded chicken breast filets
16 ounces smoked sausage
16 ounces California blend frozen veggies
16 ounces frozen carrots
16 ounces frozen chopped spinach
10 count frozen waffles
16 ounces bean soup mix
1 pound rice
9 ounces instant potatoes (14 services)
15 ounces sliced peaches
32 ounces Borden shelf-stable milk
1 dozen eggs
1 dessert item
